Reiki is dedicated to helping you make a healing connection between your physical self and your inner wisdom and spirit.

Reiki helps heal the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual fields. 

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energetic healing.  The word "REI" means Universal, God, Soul, Spirit.  The word "KI" means energy or Life Force.  Reiki literally means Universal Life Force Energy.  Healing is innate within us.  When we scrape our knee, it begins to heal.  Our benevolent God, Universal Spirit, Higher Power gave all life this beautiful ability to heal.  When we return to our True Self, we yearn to be healed and to live in that state.  Reiki is not a religion.  You do not have to believe in a particular set of "rules" or "dogma" to receive its benefits.  Reiki is simply innate Life Force Energy.  It is never harmful and can only be for our greater good and health.

How is Reiki Performed?

Reiki is performed on a fully-clothed person lying or sitting down using a hands-off modality.  The practitioner's hands are held several inches above the body over the 7 Chakra centers.  Sometimes the hands may be lightly touching over the eyes, head, arms, knees or feet.  It is never invasive or inappropriate and Reiki Masters will check-in before the treatment to make sure you are always very comfortable with the treatment.  

Types of Reiki Treatments Jacquie offers:  

Standard treatment - 60 to 70 minutes (includes oracle card and/or walking my labyrinth)

The Standard Treatment  is a 60 minute treatment covering all 7 Chakras.  The Reiki Master may use sage to cleanse the energy around you, will offer a prayer to their Higher Power, will ask their Spirit Guides and Your Higher Power to help guide the session intuitively.  Reiki Symbols are used to help heal each client physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  Jacquie asks for guidance and receives it and often also receives psychic impressions that she will share with you.  Everything is good and positive.  Reiki Symbols used are the Power Symbol, and Emotional Balance Symbol, and Symbol for helping to heal the Past, Present and even the Future!  Inner child work can be done energetically, past traumas can be addressed.  Reiki is simply amazing - profound and yet simply!  It will be customary for you to lay on the Reiki table face up. Some clients, who have difficulty may want to sit in a chair - and that is fine.  During the session, you will relax and most likely feel the energy and warmth coming from the Reiki Master's hands - even if they are not directly touching your body!  Jacquie usually plays some Sound Bowls but generally they are not placed on the body, however, if guided to place one, it will be placed carefully.  The use of Sound Bowl frequencies are almost always utilized and include the playing of the Universal Gong.  It is believed that the Sound Bowls and Gong provide another healing modality and are definitely very soothing and relaxing. This treatment includes intuition (perhaps psychic messages may come through), perhaps addition of some modality (see below) as guided.  And include a choice of walking the Labyrinth after the session, or receiving an Oracle Card Reading at the end of the Session.  Because each session is specific to that individual, this is the general overview of each session.  Sessions run about 60 minutes in length and there is some time at the end to discuss the session.  May include pendulum, crystal and essential oils as directed.  

Hot Water in the Tibetan Sound Bowls is another option to add to your Reiki Treatment. 

The essential oils steam into the air, the warmth helps relax the body, and the bowls being played directly on the body add a depth to the experience.  It can be added at the time of booking for an additional charge and extends your treatment by 20 minutes.  

Distance/ Remote Session Can Be Received Anywhere - standard session, 60 minutes, inc. Oracle Reading 

A Reiki Master is able to send Reiki remotely to you.  This means, you can be anywhere you desire to be while receiving the Reiki be transmitted to you.  Reiki Masters know different symbols that make this happen easily.  Just as a person does not need to be present when a prayer is said for them, so is it that Reiki can be received while the Reiki Master is sending Reiki at a distance.  Jacquie offers a 60 minute and a 30 minute Distance Session that includes an Oracle Card Reading (and any psychic messages that may come through will be shared).

What Does Reiki Feel Like?

Most people initially feel the benefits of relaxation and stress reduction.  Although the practitioner uses a hands-off method, very often, a person will feel a penetrating heat emitting from the hands of the practitioner.  Most describe this feeling as very comforting.  A person might also feel a slight tingling that represent the energy moving through the body.  Some people report seeing colors, and experiencing many soothing mental pictures.  Some might even fall asleep during a session, immediately going to a very deep state.  Those seeking relief from pain might feel immediate benefits upon the end of the session, or might reach maximum results within the following few days.
